This is an open ended invitation to you to engage in a way that requires you to listen to your body and care for your body. This could be through movement, go for a trail run, rock climb, go for a hike, or dance. This could be through activating your voice, write and read poetry, tell a story out loud, or sing. This could be through the sensation of care, take a bath, visit the sauna, lay on the earth in the sun, curl up on the couch with your favorite blanket and a favorite book. This could be through relationship, spend sacred time together with a friend, take the entire day to go on an adventure with your kids or partner, call a loved on that lives far away, or plan that time together with someone that you’ve always talked about but never completed.
The purpose of this intentional invitation is to inspire you to make time for what your body needs. Regardless of what you choose, make some intentional time to check in with your body. Notice the spaces of stress, tension or pain. Use breath work or movement to ease the stress. Send gratitude to your body for its capabilities. Take a moment to be still and silent and be with your body. After this activity set aside for you, notice again how your body feels. Notice how your body responds. Afterward: Journal, write a poem, write a prayer, or end with a ritual.
