Physical reminders of our truths can be powerful tools to bring us back into our healing and affirm our boundaries in moments when it’s hard. I love having affirmations painted on rocks because they are something you can hold. You can also paint or draw or write on a car or something else that you tape to your fridge, stick in your car, or in a book. The goal of this guided practice is to select an art medium that you are comfortable with. This is also an invitation to you to take some time to let the creative out.
Once you have art materials and a rock or something else to draw/paint on, select an affirmation or image that means a lot to you in this season. This could be an affirmation we are doing in these videos like “you are deserving of rest,” “you are worthy because you exist,” etc. You may also have a word or phrase from the readings or something that stands out to you independently. If words don’t resonate but an image does, draw that image. It could be a bird, a sun, etc. As you create, listen to music that is affirming. I’ve linked my yoga playlist on spotify that is full of music that is grounding and supportive.
Keep this affirmation with you or place it somewhere you can see it often.
